Juneteenth a Celebration of America History

Juneteenth a Celebration of America History

Thank you for tuning in today! Today represents a great day in American history that shouldn't be overlooked. June 19th, 1865, also known as "Juneteenth" was the official date that slavery was abolished in the United States of America. This was the first step towards inclusion in the greater American Dream. On this day, two years after Lincoln released the Emancipation Proclamation, Union Soldiers traveled to Galveston, TX announcing the end of the Civil War. General Gordon Granger read aloud the orders freeing over 250,000 American citizens that were still enslaved.

This is what our Freedom Collection is about, expressing important American heritage & culture! Be proud of your heritage & culture, and don't be afraid to express it. We all build, protect, and bleed for our nation and although things may not always seem fair USA is still our home and we can change the history for tomorrow.
